
Marcus K. Lawson (J.D.) is the President of Global CompuSearch LLC. Marcus was employed as a Special Agent with the United States Customs Service (now Department of Homeland Security) for twelve years. Previous to his employment with the Customs Service, he was employed as a Special Agent with both the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Secret Service for five years. His education consists of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from Portland State University and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. During his employment with the United States Customs Service he investigated and worked as an undercover operative in cases of fraud, narcotics, weapons violations, terrorism and child pornography. The investigation of these offenses via the Internet by use of computers was his chief area of responsibility as a Special Agent from approximately 1995 to August of 2000.
During his employment with the federal government Marcus initiated and coordinated computer crime investigations throughout the United States and around the world. He founded Global CompuSearch LLC in July of 2000 and as President, leads a team of 6 forensics examiners and their support staff who continue to investigate computer evidence issues. The company’s headquarters currently resides in Spokane WA with additional offices in Portland OR, Sacramento CA and Palm Springs CA. Since its inception, the company has served over 3000 clients with their computer forensics, expert witness and litigation support needs and averages 5000 billable forensic hours per year.
Global CompuSearch is regularly retained by both defense and Trial Counsel in matters involving computer evidence analysis and investigation by the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, School Districts, federal and state public defenders offices and law firms throughout the world. Global CompuSearch has assisted attorneys in litigation in almost every state in the union as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Germany, England, Italy, Korea and Japan. The company specializes in criminal matters (prosecution and defense), family law, employment matters and business litigation.
