Mr. Roloff is the Vice President and Senior Digital Forensics Examiner at Global CompuSearch LLC and has been employed in the field of digital forensics since 2003.
Mr. Roloff’s educational background includes an A.A.S. degree in Network Engineering, professional certificates in computer forensics from Oregon State University and New Technologies Institute (NTI); he is certified by Guidance Software as an EnCase Certified Forensic Examiner (EnCE) and by the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners as a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE).
As a Digital Forensics Examiner with Global CompuSearch, Mr. Roloff has conducted examinations on thousands of pieces of digital evidence to include: hard drives, CDs, DVDs, floppy diskettes, thumb drives, flash cards, magnetic tapes, cell phones, SIM cards, PDAs/smart phones and Global Positioning System (GPS) devices. Mr. Roloff has conducted examinations of the aforementioned media types for hundreds of diverse case matters. His list of clients in these matters include the United States Marine Corp, The United States Air Force (prosecution and defense), The United States Army (prosecution and defense), The United States Coast Guard, The United States Navy, Federal and State Public Defender offices throughout the United States, private attorneys throughout the United States and school districts throughout Washington State.
Mr. Roloff has investigated computer evidence in allegations of homicide, kidnapping, election fraud, wire fraud, rape, child pornography, “traveling” for sex with minors, unauthorized access (hacking), threats against the President, his family and staff, unauthorized systems use, espionage/terrorism and drug trafficking to name just a few.
Mr. Roloff frequently lectures on the topic of digital forensics and how it can be applied in the legal system. He has been recognized as a digital forensic expert witness in U.S. Federal Court, U.S. Military Court and many state courts throughout the country.
